Charlie Mars生于阿肯色州(Arkansas，是美國東南７州的一個州)，與制作人Rick Beato共同擔綱的鋼琴加上由Beck老爹David Campbell(Aerosmith、Alanis Morrisette與Evanescence等)親自坐鎮(zhèn)編寫的弦樂，兩者相輔相成的憂郁調(diào)性，讓他的作品有著特出于美國當代搖滾同儕的氣味，真誠具詩意的詞作在這般男聲哼吟中，無論是愛或失落，皆散落一地的浪漫。



無怪乎連贊譽其作品為“Big，Beautiful Rock from Mississippi”的滾石雜志亦有感他將搶占好一部份Coldplay的樂迷。同名新專輯出版后更獲得與搖滾經(jīng)典樂隊REM及全美冠軍大團Dave Matthews Band共同巡回的殊榮。
