Au Revoir Simone于2003年組成，當(dāng)時好朋友三人一有時間就會聚到ERIKA的家里，把一堆電子合成器擺到一起玩耍，最后ERIKA客廳中擺放的樂器越來越多，而在這個過程中這三個好朋友也創(chuàng)出了許多非常清新和獨(dú)特的音樂，她們當(dāng)時的主旨就是如果一首歌曲不成形，或者是聽起來不完美，那么她們就一定會忘記時間的存在，直到把一首作品作的完美，然后才會去做其它的事情。
隨后AU REVOIR SIMONE樂團(tuán)走出了在客廳演奏的日子，那是2004年的冬天，樂隊(duì)為ERIKA的鍵盤老師所在的樂隊(duì)擔(dān)任了開場的工作，那也是樂隊(duì)的第一場演出。之后樂隊(duì)在美國境內(nèi)開始了一次又一次的小型巡演。然后樂隊(duì)吸引了唱片公司的目光，并且發(fā)行了首張專輯《Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation》，該專輯在日本和英國上市引起了轟動。接下來在間隔不到一年的時間里樂隊(duì)又發(fā)行了第二張專輯《The Bird Of Music》，該專輯收錄了《he Lucky One》 、《Sad Song》 、《Fallen Snow》 、《Dark Halls》等著名單曲，通過該專輯，樂團(tuán)走進(jìn)了主流媒體的視線，同時樂團(tuán)也成為了電影大師大衛(wèi)•林奇的心水最愛之寶團(tuán)。
樂隊(duì)隨后開始了馬不停蹄的大規(guī)模巡演，從北美到歐洲，再從歐洲到日本，此時，與她們一起巡演的伙伴已經(jīng)成了AIR、PETER BJORN AND JOHN 等著名樂團(tuán)。
2009年5月份樂隊(duì)發(fā)行了第三張專輯《STILL NIGHT STILL LIGHT》， 專輯發(fā)行后得到NME、VOGUE 、Q、I-D、NYLON 、SPIN、ROLLING STONE 、Uncut 、Guardian 、Pitchfolkmedia 等全球頂級媒體聯(lián)手推薦。
The Brooklyn indie pop outfit Au Revoir Simone features Heather D'Angelo (vocals/drum machine/keyboard), Erika Forster (vocals/keyboard), and Annie Hart (vocals/keyboard). Borrowing their name from a minor character in Tim Burton's comedy favorite Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, the Casio-centric group came together in late 2003; Forster and Hart befriended one another while traveling by train from Vermont to New York. From there, they became fast friends and began writing songs. D'Angelo and Sung Bin Park (keyboard/vocals) were added to the dreamy pop fray after sitting in on many practice sessions, but Park left in January 2005 to pursue other projects. A year later, Au Revoir Simone issued their debut album, Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation. It was self-released in the United States and appeared on Moshi Moshi throughout Europe. "Through the Backyards" was included in the season finale to Grey's Anatomy in spring 2006. Au Revoir Simone's second album, The Bird of Music, was released on Moshi Moshi Records one year later.
