第44屆格萊美最佳RAP專輯



說唱組合Outkast合由出生于1975年5月27日的Dre和出生1975年2月2日的Big Boi組成。倆人的第一次見面是在亞特蘭大城立高中，在他們畢業(yè)前，就已經(jīng)和L.A.和Babyface的LaFace公司簽定合約，并很快推出了單曲《Player's Ball》，為他們制作的是給TLC制作專輯的全部班底Organized Noise。這首單曲在1994年曾雄據(jù)Billboard說唱排行榜冠軍位置達6周之久，也成為Outkast的第一張白金唱片。2000年萬圣節(jié)，Outkast在他們最喜歡的發(fā)片的節(jié)日推出了《Stankonia》。很快這張專輯贏得了一致好評，銷量輕松突破四白金，也再次吸引了更多的聽眾。而在第44屆格萊美中，Outkast憑借這張專輯及其單曲《Ms. Jackson》得到了包括：“年度最佳唱片”、“年度最佳專輯”、“年度最佳Rap樂團”、“年度最佳Rap專輯”等5項提名，讓同期所有流行音樂專輯光芒遮蔽。
